The Enlaughterment Tour for the Cure
What would happen if a famous group of actors, entertainers and comedians got together to help a sick friend? You would get the Enlaughterment Tour for the Cure. Join Danny Aiello, Steve Schirripa, Tony Sirico and a line-up of the best comedians working in show business today, as they reach out to help others recovering from cancer. Laughter really is the best medicine and no one ever overdoses from taking too many belly laughs. So join us as we help others heal through humor.
The Enlaughterment Tour for the Cure will be held on Sunday, April 6th at NY’s premiere comedy club, Gotham, located at 208 West 23rd Street NY, NY. The doors open a 4:00 pm and the show starts at 5:00 pm. All of the proceeds from the night will go to benefit Ray Garvey. Ray is a former NYC cop who got into the business of show after a line-of-duty injury caused him to retire from the N.Y.P.D. Now, after ten years of service to the city he grew up in and another twenty years of service to his audience, Ray needs our help.
In January of this year Ray was diagnosed with Stage four stomach cancer. Thankfully, Ray has insurance. However, insurance does not cover all expenses, and it certainly does not cover love and support. Anyone who has ever dealt with a debilitating disease knows that! Fortunately, that’s where we come in. When news of Ray’s illness reached his friends, they rushed to his side.

Service to others is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves; it is the gift of life because it contains the gift of healing. Join us on this special night as we laugh our way to wellness with the best stand up comics in the biz. Our lineup includes Richie Minervini, Adam Ferrara, Joey Kola, Vic Dibitetto, John Sialiano and your host, John Mulrooney just to name a few.
Aside from the fact that this is a worthy cause, to which everyone can relate, Ray is well known and well liked in the comedy community. Not surprisingly, the cast of willing and available entertainers is growing exponentially. Given the overwhelming response from people who want to help, we feel inspired to continue our work with the Enlaughterment Tour for the Cure after this event. Our goal is to actively seek out and help anyone who needs help to heal from this terrible condition.
In addition, the Enlaughterment Tour for the Cure is quickly drawing attention to itself as the perfect candidate for a TV special. Who wouldn’t want to see their favorite actors, entertainers and comedians joining together for a cause such as this? There is strength in unity, and the only thing that can unify is a purpose. If we want to be unified in wellness, we have to be single-minded in purpose. Our purpose then is simple.
Let’s join together and put an end to all illness and disease, and laugh our way to the cure!
